The Ruskin C. Norman Founders' Circle

The Founders’ Circle is a philanthropic group of individuals united in their efforts to make a difference in the lives of patients searching for their cure. Every year, the group provides funding to the Texas Cord Blood Bank (TCBB), a program of GenCure, to collect, process, store and deliver lifesaving cord blood units to patients around the world.

TCBB stores thousands of cord blood units and facilitates cord blood transplants worldwide. By joining the Founders’ Circle, your contributions make this possible.

History

The Texas Cord Blood Bank was the vision of Dr. Ruskin C. Norman, and his wife Karen, who cofounded The Blood & Tissue Center Foundation, which helps support programs like the TCBB. Dr. Norman and Karen recognized the potential of cord blood. Their vision helped lead to the creation of the TCBB in 2001. The Ruskin C. Norman Founder’s Circle was established in 2011 as a testament to Dr. Norman and his belief that, with help from people like you, more lives could be saved.
